Q. Why can't I find agencies that I know are there?
A. The list of agencies was provided by PASE as
of July 2003, and only covers the agencies that are providing after-school
youth services. If your
agency does not appear on the map and you believe it should, please
contact PASE.

Q. Why didn’t the map find my address?
A. This map only covers New York City, so any addresses outside the
city’s five boroughs will not work. When you type in your New York
City street address, make sure
you:
-
include the street direction (West or East, for example);
-
includen the street type (Road vs. Avenue); and
-
enter the correct ZIP Code.
You don’t need a room, floor, or suite number. After you enter your
address and select the correct ZIP Code, click
the "Find Address" button. If there are still problems,
contact NYPIRG’s Community Mapping Assistance Project (CMAP).

Q. How do I find a neighborhood?
A. Select one from the alphabetical pull-down list of neighborhoods,
then click the
button. If your neighborhood is not on the list, select one that
is nearby. New
York neighborhoods do not have definite boundaries, so the neighborhood label
on the map only shows the approximate location of the neighborhood.

read our disclaimer about the interactive map.
If you have corrections to the data on youth programs, contact

Q. How was the interactive map created?
A. The PASE Agency Locator map was created by CMAP
using software called ArcIMS, made by the
Environmental Systems Research
Institute (ESRI). It was provided to CMAP through
ESRI's Conservation Program,
and customized by CMAP using Microsoft’s Visual Basic. See
CMAP's website for other examples of our interactive
mapping applications on the Internet.
